Protection against cyber attacks is becoming more important. The center for National Digital Security called NCSC has warned several political parties and offered help in protecting their digital environment.

According to The Sunday Times, General Cyber Security Ciaran Martin has warned the parties by pointing out that there is an increased amount of cyber attacks on countries such as the U.S. and Germany. In the case of the U.S., Martin was aiming at the attacks on the Democratic Party. The NCSC did not want to confirm that Russia is seen as the highest threat in the area of digital security.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Boris Johnson, said that there is no evidence that Russians have carried out the cyber attacks. He stated however that there is evidence that Russia does possess the resources to carry out such attacks.
