One of the British financial authorities, the FCA, stated that employees who spot a cyber-attack and report it, should be financially compensated for their behaviour.

According to Nausicaa Delfas this new method would show a certain amount of trust towards their employees, as well as reinforcing a new policy regarding the struggle against cyber-attacks on businesses.

England, along with the rest of the world, has seen a steady growth in the number of cyber-attacks launched in various ways as more employees become victimised by phishing-emails. The FCA thinks a lot of these incidents could be prevented by incorporating a new business model in which the employees themselves would be an added line of defense. The added rewards would work as an incentive to help boos online security.
