The operating system that Samsung uses for smartwatches and TV's, Tizen, contains many data leaks according to a researcher.

The researcher named Amihai Neiderman told Motherboard that he found 40 leaks that are not known yet. In every one of the leaks the hacked devices could be operated from a distance.

From the Wikileaks documents of the CIA it was known that Samsung devices were hacked easily, but hackers needed physical access to the devices in order to do this. For this leaks this is not the case, according to Neiderman.

Neiderman called Tizan's code ''Maybe one of the worst he has ever seen''. According to Neiderman, Samsung used old programming techniques. This is one of the reasons that makes it easier to find a way into the devices. The company has contacted the researcher to discuss the leaks and hopefully take action.
