92 Android Apps have been deleted from the Play Store by Google, because they could contain the ''Ramnit-Worm''. This worm infects .html, .exe and .dll files which spread after they are installed on a Windows computer.
Infected code
The apps that contain the infected code mainly contained .html files. The risk is only present if a victim installs the apps on their phone and then connects the phone to his or her Windows computer.
The apps that were infected were downloaded almost 250.000 times and therefore the apps have been deleted immediately. In March, Google deleted 100 apps because of several forms of infected files that were stored in the apps.
Explanation
According to Symantec the apps contain infected files, because the developers of the apps use Windows-computers that already contain infected files. These files have automatically been installed without notice from the developers.
