Ercan Findikoglu, also known under the aliases Segate, Predator and Oreon, has been sentenced to 8 years of jail in New York. He was responsible for three large cyber attacks in which over 55 million dollar was stolen.

Findikoglu carried out the attacks together with others. The group attacked by infiltrating companies who manage creditcard transactions. After infiltrating, they used creditcard information to take money off the accounts. The primary victim was BankMuscat, which is considered the most important bank in Oman. JP Morgan Chase and the Rakbank were also victims of the attacks. The group of hackers used creditcard information to take money from ATM's in 24 countries. 

The Turkish hacker was sentenced to 19,5 years of prison in Turkey, but he came out on bail and was arrested in Germany a year later. Germany handed the hacker over to the U.S. After the hacker has served his sentence in the U.S. he will be sent to Turkey in order to serve his sentence there.
