By carrying out a PIA an organization is able to analyze all of the privacy risks that come with the processing of information. The sooner you recognize the risks, the better. The results of a PIA can be used to implement privacy-protecting measurements in your technology or your organization. (privacy by design). By doing this you prevent adjustments in a later stage, which may result in you having to redesign your systems or stop a specific project. The sooner you carry out a PIA, the more costs you will save as well.
